Vaughn hails from the Midwest and will claim ties to every state within it. After studying marketing, international business and Spanish at Indiana University, he came to NYC for a little vacation and phoned home at the end of the trip to announce he wasn't coming back. After hundreds of cold calls and a few months on a friend's loveseat in a 200 square foot East Village apartment, his career began. He spent his first 5 years learning account management and strategic planning at BBH, working on Axe, Johnnie Walker, Mentos, overall agency digital strategy, and working the pitch circuit in new business.
He then spent some time up in midtown working retail on Best Buy at BBDO before making his triumphant return back downtown with Droga5, where he ran businesses, developed brand positionings, and contributed to award-winning campaigns for Unilever, BMW, Kraft, Prudential and others.
Vaughn enjoys Chicago sports, driving in foreign countries, arguing and Italian beef sandwiches. He also collects expensive cycling gear but as of this writing most likely hasn’t been on the bike in a couple of months.
