Design between the pages

Design has long played an important role in the art of the book cover, but what of the text inside? Writers and graphic designers are teaming up to challenge our notion of reading books. Adam Thirlwell, Lucienne Roberts and TM Wolf are revolutionizing the role of type in novels. Does this meet the needs of an increasingly design-savvy society, or is it simply a last-ditch revolt against the e-book?
