Chicago toy store has no toys- gets creative with cardboard instead

by mtitcomb@redpeakgroup.com

Mr. Imagine’s Toy Store in Chicago is filled with whimsy, color, and kids but not a single toy.

The pop-up by the Chicago Children’s Museum is intended to as a respite from iPad games and Barbie mansions and instead focuses on the creativity of each child. Mr. Imagine's offers a workshop for kids to design whatever they please.  Markers, glitter, colored paper, tape, paint, etc. are all available at each station and a giant cardboard camera even snaps a shot of your finished product once the creative process is through.

While the store will have a limited run, perhaps it will inspire at least a few to get D.I.Y. with the kids more often.
